The truth about our hooks
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the Skeena and Tail Out hooks?
The only difference is the eye of the hooks. The Skeena hook has a slight offset eye perfect for snell knots. The Tail Out hook has a straight eye, not for snell knots. So if you snell or not, that is how you decide which hook to use. They are both great for beads and bags. The larger size Skeena are for skein.
Why are your hooks regarded as the best on the market?
How strong are the Tail Out and Skeena hooks?
Our hooks are made with 2x wire. Most hooks on the market are made with 1x wire. 2x is stronger than 1x. But 2x is only good if you have a razor sharp point, otherwise the wire will be too thick for consistent penetration.
What size hook should I use for beads?
Our size 4 hook is for 10mm beads, our size 6 hook is for 8mm beads, our size 2 hook is for 12mm beads, our size 1 hook is for 14mm beads.
