The truth about our diver wire
The truth about our diver wire
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I spool up stainless fishing wire onto my reel?
Mount our spool on a spindle or use a screwdriver with another person, with the line coming off the top of our spool to the top of your reel. Wind slowly with good tension, with your clicker on.
How do I prevent pigtails in stainless fishing wire?
Why does stainless diver wire produce so much better than braid or mono when fishing divers?
First, the wire when under tension while trolling produces a harmonic effect in the water, not dis-similar to that of our downrigger cable hum. This attracts fish. Second, it cuts the current like no other line type, and holds your diver at a consistent depth.
Do I need to spool up all 1000' of wire?
We recommend it. After you let your diver out 375' to fish summer time kings, and one hits and burns out another 300' you are not left with much on the arbor to facilitate rapid line gain while reeling. You need as much line on the reel as possible, as diver wire is small in diameter and it takes a while to fill your reel back up and get meaningful line gains. The bigger the reel, the bigger the arbor, the bigger the arbor the more line you put back on the reel with each crank.
