The perfect Float Fishing Monofilament mainline for Salmon and Steelhead.
True float fishing monofilament line with custom line conditioners mixed with nylon resins to create the perfect line for drift and float fishing applications.
Our float fishing monofilament line has excellent knot strength, and will not absorb water or Ultra Violet rays which will impact traditional monofilament fishing lines.
Available in a variety of colors for different visibility conditions for both the fisherman to mend long drifts, as well as for low light conditions.
Super slippery and abrasion resistant for ease of sliding shot patterns and standing up to snagging trees, bushes, rocks and logs....this is one tough float line designed for hardcore float fishermen.
- 300 yard spools.
- .37mm diameter.
- Clear, Low Vis Green, Hi Vis Yellow, Hi Vis Orange, Light Blue, Purple, Hot Pink.
Any fluorocarbon leader BELOW .280mm in diameter can be safely used with our 15lb Floating Mono mainline without excessively stretching the mainline in order to break free leader snags.
Remember, every time a setup is pulled to break a leader on a snag, the mainline is stretched and weakened. All monofilament lines when excessively stretched are weakened. At some point, that section of mainline must be cut back and re-tied to maintain maximum breaking strength. No monofilament can withstand endless occurrences of stretching/elongation and not eventually fail.
If a particular leader is NOT listed below, then it's actual diameter is in excess of .280mm and it can NOT be used under our 15lb mainline because it's diameter is far in excess of its labeled breaking strength.
If your choice of leader‘s diameter is in excess of what is listed below, you should move up to our 23lb Floating Mono mainline.

Frequently Asked Questions
What sized float fishing mainline should I use?
Does the mainline color make a difference?
Yes and no. In dirty water, the fish can't see hi vis colors, but you can for mending purposes. In lowlight conditions you can see hi vis colors for mending purposes. In bright sun, clear water, pressured fish...we personally lean to low vis colors. In the end, it doesn't matter if you are trotting your float upstream correctly and kicking out your presentation below, the fish will see that well before your mainline.
Does this mainline really float or is it just fancy regular mono?
Yes it does actually float, and no it's not a fancy regular mono. It's actually a copolymer by definition. A mono core, coated with fluorocarbon. The fluorocarbon creates an extremely abrasion resistant barrier as well as preventing water from penetrating the nylon mono core. Regular mono does not have this, and absorbs water, loses breaking strength and sinks over time. Ours does not, this was specifically designed to float on the surface of the water in perpetuity unless pushed or dragged by some other force. When that happens, the line will NOT float back up to the surface, it is not hollow and does not have internal buoyancy.
Why do some people dog your mainline?
Two reasons, they don't like the price and think it's regular mono (it's not, read above) or they use a way under rated leader which is actually far too close to the rated breaking strength of our mainline. Over time, when trying to break their way under rated super strong leader on snags (Drennan or Sniper), they stretch the hell out of our mainline in the process, which eventually causes catastrophic failure at some point. Use a correctly rated leader and follow the suggestion in "What sized mainline should I use" faq.
